Driver Information

The minimum age is 21, drivers aged between 21-24 are subject to a young drivers surcharge of $25 + tax per day.

Licence

You must have held a licence for at least a year.

Endorsements

Certain endorsements are accepted but they must be checked with the supplier.

Excess

For drivers aged 21-24 the excess is $500. For drivers aged 25+ the excess is $250-$300. This can be refunded from holiday autos according to our damage excess refund policy.

Excess Waiver

This is optional and is available with certain suppliers charged at $18.99 + tax per day. This waivers or reduces the excess depending on the supplier.

P.A.I (Personal Accident Insurance)

This cover is optional and is only available at certain locations with certain suppliers. It is charged between $3- $5 + tax per day.

Carefree Personal Protection.

This cover is optional and is only available with certain suppliers. It is charged locally at $7.99 + tax per day at restricted locations.

Loss Damage Waiver

This is included in the holiday autos rate but it may still be offered locally.

Additional Driver

Between $4.99- $10 per day per driver. Please check at time of booking.

Delivery & Collection

A delivery and collection service is not available in Canada.

Out of hours

There are no out of hours pick-ups. There is a drop box where keys can be left for out of hours returns.

Mileage

There is restricted mileage in Jasper, Banff and Port Hardy. The mileage is inclusive up to 100 km per day, after this there is a charge of $0.25 per km This only applies to the above locations.

Use of vehicle

The vehicle must not be used to tow or pull.
The car must not be used to carry people or property for hire.
If the contract is breached then the insurance may become void.
