Driver Information

The minimum age with most suppliers is 23 and the maximum age is 75. Drivers aged between 23-24 and 70-75 will be subject to a surcharge of £10 + tax per day to a maximum of £50 + tax. Certain suppliers do allow drivers under the age of 23 to drive but there is a surcharge of between £6 + tax per day and £12.75 + tax per day.

Licence

The driver must have held a licence for at least 1 year.

Endorsements

Accepted with most suppliers.
If the points are for drink/drug/dangerous/reckless/careless driving or if the driver has been disqualified in the past the endorsements will only be accepted after 7 years. Certain suppliers will not accept any of these endorsements. Please check at time of booking.

insurance

Excess

Between £500 and £750 depending on the vehicle size. The excess can be reclaimed from holiday autos according to our damage excess refund policy.

Excess Waiver

This cover is optional and can be purchased from the supplier locally, charged between £6.99 and £8.50. A master cover plan that includes excess waiver and P.A.I is available with certain suppliers charged at at £10 + tax per day or for rentals over 7 days £5.50 + tax per day. The excess waiver can reduce or waiver the excess depending on the supplier.

P.AI (Personal Accident Insurance)

This cover is optional and can be purchased from the supplier locally, charged between £6.99 and £5.50 + tax per day

extras

Additional Driver

Charged locally between £2.50 - £7 + vat per day to a maximum of £49. Extra drivers must be over 25 with most suppliers. Certain suppliers will let 23-24 year olds drive at an additional cost of £15 + vat per day. Please check at time of booking.

Delivery & Collection

This service is charged by the local supplier, between £10 and £17.50 + vat each way. It is not available with all suppliers.

Out of Hours

This service is on request with some suppliers, charged between £30 -£40. It is not available with all suppliers.

Use of Vehicle

Driver abuse of the vehicle is not covered by insurance. If the vehicle is used outside of the UK you undertake to ensure that the vehicle is checked for illegal immigrants. If special cleaning of the vehicle is required then you will be charged. If the car is not returned by the date stated then you will not be covered by insurance. In the event that a vehicle on rent reaches the mileage at which a service is due you undertake to notify the company and make sure that the vehicle is available to the company. If the vehicle is seized by customs and excise then you will be liable for any restoration charges. The suppliers accept no responsibility for delays and/or any loss including consequential loss arising from breakdown or from any other circumstances. The vehicle must not be used to tow or pull. Any damage caused by striking overhead objects is your responsibility The vehicle must not be used for private hire. The supplier can repossess the vehicle at any time. If the vehicle becomes unroadworthy a replacement will be at the suppliers discretion. The vehicle must be protected from bad weather. The correct levels of tyre pessure, engine oil and other vehicle fluids should be maintained. The vehicle must not be driven on unpaved roads.

Personal Data

Two telephone numbers will be required with some suppliers. One of these must be an employers. If you are unemployed then the telephone number provided must be in the telephone directory.

The supplier may keep the personal data obtained and if the contract is breached the supplier may disclose the information.
