Driver Information

The minimum age in New York and Buffalo is 18 years. Young drivers aged between 18 - 20 will be suject to a charge between $25 and $45.93 + tax per day. For every other location in America the minimum age is 21. Drivers aged between 21-24 will be subject to a surcharge of $20-$25 per day.

Licence

Drivers must have held a licence for a minimum of a year. International licences are accepted with some suppliers if accompanied by a passport. Some suppliers do not accept USA licences.

Endorsements

Are only accepted with some suppliers.

Excess

$100 is applicable only at certain locations.The excess can be reclaimed from holiday autos according to our damage excess refund policy.

P.A.I (Personal Accident Insurance)

This cover is optional and can be purchased locally depending on the supplier. It is charged at between $3-$5 + vat per day.

Care Free Personal Protection

This cover is optional and can be purchased locally depending on the supplier. It is charged at $7.99 + tax per day.

Loss Damage Waiver

This is included in the holiday autos rate but it may still be offered locally.

Supplementary Liabilty Insurance

This is included in the holiday autos rate but it may still be offered locally.

Additional Driver

This is charged locally between $5- $5.99 + tax per day per driver. Please check at time of booking.

Airport facility fees

Payable locally for rentals in Miami ($3.25 per day plus tax) and Las Vegas ($3.00 per day, plus tax).

Delivery & Collection

A delivery and collection service is not available in the USA.

Out of hours

This service is only available at limited locations with certain suppliers.

Use of vehicle

The vehicle must not be used to tow or pull.
The vehicle must not be used to carry people or objects for hire.
The vehicle must not be used on unpaved roads.
If the contract is breached then the insurance may become void.
Car groups SVAR FVAR & ITAR do not include unlimited mileage with all suppliers.
